Unfortunately in some of these cases, even if the LWR looks as nice and neat as desired, the underlying skin disease of the depths of the external ear canal and the middle ear can progress and require further action.

In this case, we performed a total ear canal ablation and lateral bulla osteotmy, removing the external ear canal (not the ear flap itself though) and part of the middle ear.
