Bailey is an 8 year old Labrador. He has had chronic right elbow degenerative joint disease and lameness, but recently a left elbow lameness was evident. A mobile blob of cartilage and bone was visible on xray and palpable in the joint when he was under GA.
These mobile fragments are called joint mice … but this one was so big it would have been better described as a joint elephant … It was removed with a straightforwards surgical procedure and Bailey walked out happily on the evening of surgery.
