Chris Lancelott

Veterinary Surgeon

Chris qualified with an Honours degree in Diagnostic Imaging from Bradford University in 2000. He then went on to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Szent István University in Budapest Hungary in 2006 in which his thesis was a prospective study on tibial plateau angles and the pathogenesis and surgery of cruciate ligament rupture.

Chris started his career in a mixed practice in Devon serving Dartmoor where he developed a diversity of skills and a logical approach to problem solving. In his holidays and on sabbaticals Chris worked voluntarily for various charities throughout the world. After his time in mixed practice he decided to pursue his goal to focus on small animal surgery.

He moved to Birmingham to work as a surgeon for a 3 branched small animal practice where he completed his RCVS CertAVP in 2015 and sat his synoptic exam to specify surgery (GSAS) in 2018. He has a diverse skillset with excellent imaging capabilities and performs both orthopaedics and soft tissue surgeries. He has a passion for minimally invasive investigation and surgery.

His first loves were travelling, skydiving, cooking and rugby but these days he has a young family that keep him busy.
