We typically ask to see cases at 2-3 weeks and again at two months post-operatively for checkups and follow-up radiography where this is indicated.
We offer a free radiographic interpretation and case history review service. You can e-mail or post your radiographs and/or ring for a chat, including out-of-hours. If you want standard radiographs returned promptly by post, please include return postage for the return of the films. Otherwise, we will return them to the care of the following client of yours that we see.
Many practices now send digital images of radiographs for a high-speed reply and to avoid the hassle of postage. We prefer JPegs for ease of opening. If you use analogue radiographs, consider taking photos of them with a smartphone and emailing the images that way (Top tip: turn off the ceiling strip lights and disable the flash on the phone/camera!).
For selected oncology cases, we employ advice from an internationally recognised medical oncology specialist (http://www.chemopet.co.uk/) to complement our surgical service. Some surgical oncology cases are also treated with chemotherapeutic agents. These may be administered via the home practice or by ourselves.
We can accept ultrasound and medical cases, albeit with some limitations on available dates. Acute/critical cases needing ITU care are less likely to be suited to this service. If you want cases reviewed by our medical colleagues, please email case notes, X-rays and laboratory reports to This email address is being protected from spambots. We can decide whether the case might be suitable to be seen through West Midlands Veterinary Referrals for clinical examination and for the formulation of an investigative and therapeutic plan.
