Dimitris Mitrakos

Dimitris graduated in 2011 in Greece, where he then worked for two years following qualification.

He moved to the UK in 2014 and began working as Small Animal Vet before undertaking the BSAVA Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2015.

Dimitris completed a rotating internship at University College Dublin, Ireland, in 2015 and a surgical internship in Manchester in 2017. He then joined a busy, large, small animal hospital as a surgical vet while completing his Certificate to become recognised as an advanced practitioner in small animal surgery.

Over the last three years, he has worked as a second-opinion Veterinary Surgeon, seeing and treating referral patients in Orthopedics and Soft Tissue Surgery.

He has a great interest in the management f humeral intracondylar fissures in spaniel dogs, in fracture management and cases of joint instability.
