Laura Bailey

RVN

Laura joined West Midlands Referrals in November 2019, and moved into a night nurse position in January 2021.

Before working at WMR, Laura worked in general practice for 22 years. She spent two years there as a trainee, 10 years as an RVN, four years as a deputy head RVN and seven years as a head RVN.

In 2000, she went part-time whilst she studied for a degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Wolverhampton, returning to full time veterinary nursing in 2003. This degree enabled Laura to establish in-house laboratory practices that had previously been sent out to an external laboratory. Laura has additional qualifications in canine and feline behaviour and is currently studying for a certificate in emergency and critical care.

When Laura isn’t at work or studying, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their fur family, or taking part in one of her multitude of hobbies; including jewellery making, flower arranging, painting, reading and baking.
