I have been in the veterinary industry for 7 years. I have experience in first opinion/general practice, veterinary hospitals, out of hours and referral work. I enjoy all aspects of the job but have a keen interest in emergency and critical care and hope to develop my anaesthesia skills further at West Midlands Veterinary Referrals.

In my spare time, I am quite outdoorsy. I spend a lot of time hiking in the peak district and out with my dogs and horses.

At home, I am lucky enough to have 3 dogs (Mistie, Pippa & Olive), Olive being a rescue that came into my previous practice for veterinary care. I also have 2 horses (Dakota & Domino) and 2 rabbits (Jack & Jemima).

I look forward to developing my knowledge and skillset with the West Midlands Veterinary Referrals team who have already made me feel very welcome during my time with them so far.

I joined the West Midlands Veterinary Referrals team at the end of May 2021 in a part time role, as a Receptionist.

There's a lot to learn, but everyone here is super friendly and always willing to help and to explain anything that I don't know.

I am an animal lover and a people person; so, the role is perfect for me because I get to meet new people/ clients that love and care for their pets, plus I get to see the animals that were previously unwell getting better and making their recovery.

My favourite part about the job is working with like-minded people who care so much about animals.

I started working for West Midlands Veterinary Referrals at the beginning of May on reception.

There's a lot of new things to learn but it's been made easier by working with such a fantastic and understanding team.

I wanted to work for West Midlands Veterinary Referrals as it is such a rewarding job to see animals with health conditions get better and it feels amazing to play a small role in helping them get the treatment they need.

My favourite part of the job has got to be seeing so many animals daily and I especially enjoy seeing a patient come for a re-check when they have improved so much, plus what day can't be improved by seeing a fluffy pet!

We wish them a warm welcome to our fantastic team!
